World Development Indicators

Country-year series for every African economy, covering growth and prices, public finance, trade, health, education, poverty and the environment. This snapshot covers 54 African countries from 2000 to 2024. Filter by topic, country or series length, then open any series to chart it, compare countries and download it as CSV. No account required.

What the category captures: the World Bank World Development Indicators for 54 African countries, one value per country per year from 2000. It spans economic policy and debt, the financial and private sectors, public sector accounts, trade and infrastructure alongside social series on health, education, poverty, social protection, labour and gender, and environmental series on land, energy and emissions. Each series keeps its World Bank indicator code, its unit and its licence, so a figure can be traced back to source.
