What the category captures: twelve Our World in Data charts for 54 African countries, from 1950 where the source allows. The collection brings long-run health and survival alongside poverty, schooling, electricity, sanitation, emissions, energy use, remittances and female labour force participation. Every series names the producer Our World in Data assembled it from, the year it was last updated, its unit and its citation, so a figure can be traced back through the chart to the original source.
